Is there really a free plan?
Yes. Solo is free for one aircraft and one member. It includes scheduling, squawks, maintenance reminders, flight logs, and documents. No credit card required.
What is the difference between Solo, Partnership, and Club?
Solo is one owner and one airplane. Partnership is up to four people sharing one airplane, with admin and A&P roles and shared-expense tracking. Club is for flying clubs: unlimited members, two aircraft included, dues and member balances, statements, pilot qualifications, and the Hangar Talk community.
How does the 30-day trial work?
Ask for a trial and we set up a Partnership or Club account for you with the full plan and no credit card. After 30 days you can pay to continue or stay on the free plan. Your data is not deleted either way.
How do flight charges work?
Each aircraft has a rate: wet, dry, or per tach hour. When a pilot logs a flight with tach or Hobbs times, FlightBoard computes the charge and posts it to that member. The charge shows the flight, the times, and the rate it came from.
Can FlightBoard enforce our booking rules?
Yes. Set a minimum and maximum booking length, how far ahead members can book, and a cap on consecutive days that counts chained bookings. Trips over the cap go to an officer for approval while the slot is held. Members cannot book during maintenance, on a grounded aircraft, or on an aircraft they are not checked out in.
Can members pay online?
Not yet. Members pay the way your club collects today, such as check or bank transfer, and the treasurer records the payment against the member. Online card payment is in the works.
Do you charge per member?
No. Club includes unlimited members and instructors. Partnership includes four members and can add more in packs. Your bill changes only when you add aircraft.
Can I switch or cancel later?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from Settings. If you cancel, you keep paid access to the end of the billing period, then drop to the free Solo plan. Your data stays.
Is my club’s data secure?
Each club’s data is isolated with database row-level security and served over HTTPS. You control who is a member, and you can export or delete your data at any time.
Does FlightBoard replace official logbooks?
No. FlightBoard is a scheduling and recordkeeping tool. It does not replace FAA-required pilot logbooks, aircraft maintenance records, or airworthiness determinations.
